“Teddy ate a corn cob at a quarter past six on a Tuesday. Dr. Ruiz had him X-rayed by seven and home by bedtime, for a fraction of an ER bill.”
Brent, Five Points
“Margo hates the car, the carrier and most people. She walked into the cat room and sat in Okra's chair like she owned it.”
Tamika, Mordecai
“They texted us a photo of Lou waking up from her dental, and the bill matched the estimate to the dollar.”
Jalen, Oakwood
Three vets, nine technicians and one cat.
Dr. Mae Albright opened the practice in 2012 and still sees patients four days a week. Every surgery and dental patient has one technician beside them from sedation to waking up, and that technician texts you a photo when they do.

Do you take walk-ins?
For urgent care, yes: weeknights from 5 to 8pm and Saturdays until 2pm. Anything that can wait, book an appointment. Most are the same week, and sick visits are usually the same day.
Do you take pet insurance?
Yes. Pet insurance reimburses you rather than the vet: you pay at checkout, we send your insurer the itemized invoice and records the same day, and they pay you back.
How much does a dental cleaning cost?
From $450, under anesthesia, with bloodwork, full-mouth X-rays, monitoring and a polish. If the X-rays show a tooth that has to come out, we call you with the price before we touch it.
What should I bring to the first visit?
Their records if you have them, a list of medicines and food, and a fresh stool sample. Dogs on a leash through the green door, cats in a carrier through the rose one.
Can I spread the cost of a big bill?
Yes. Payment plans are available on bills over $500. Ask at the front desk before treatment starts and we'll set it up.
Do you see rabbits, birds or reptiles?
Dogs and cats only, so we can do both well. Call us and we'll recommend a vet who sees exotic pets.
Book a visit.
Pick a day and a time. We confirm by text within the hour while we're open, and a first exam for new clients is $35.
